• Character Personality:

— Protective: Despite everything he's been through, Logan can't help himself when it comes to wanting to take care of people. It's why he reaches out to Rogue and why he keeps coming back to the X-Men -- he cares about people, as much as he doesn't want to, and when that happens he usually wants to try and keep them safe. He often identifies with outcasts and underdogs. He knows what it's like to be treated badly because of what he is and things he can't help, so he's often among the first to step up for those who can't protect themselves.
— Ruthless: Once Logan decides he wants to do something, he'll often just do it, careless of the consequences. He doesn't believe in compromise when it comes to his decisions, stubbornly resisting most attempts to cool him down. His long life has been hard and violent, so he's used to dealing with his problems with answering violence. Depending on which side you happen to be on, this can be both good and bad. As a superhero, it means he's a formidable foe. As a man, it often means he's left with more problems than he started with.
— Honorable: Logan has a strict code of personal honor by which he lives his life. He fights for what he believes is right and will always see things through to the very end, or die in the effort. He doesn't like cowardice, sore losers (though he is often one himself) or someone who'll pick on the little guy just because they can. He'll put himself in the way of the bullet -- literally -- before he'll let his friends, or people he's decided to protect, get hurt. He knows he's the only one who will walk away from most fights, so he makes sure he's the first on the line.

— Headstrong: If Logan wants to do something, he'll find a way to do it, no matter what. Most of the time, he tends to think of his own needs first, acts of generosity being rare enough in his life that he finds performing them himself difficult -- unless, of course, he can justify it in some practical way, for instance when the circumstances call for someone to put themselves in danger to let others flee. He's used to relying on his own instincts before anyone else's, cultivating an attitude of "my way or the highway" when it comes to most things. He'll take what he needs and leave everyone else behind to keep up and meet his high expectations and personal rules.
— Aloof: Used to being treated like an animal -- or worse -- Logan holds himself apart from most people, assuming that if he's the one to stand aside, it'll be easier for everyone. He's found it easy enough to convince himself that he doesn't need people and isn't interested in those connections, though he somehow keeps ending up with them anyway. The fact that people often get hurt around him, either through his actions or the actions of his enemies, also keeps him from trying to reach out. He won't go out of his way to be nice or make friends, preferring the tough guy exterior and a grumpy attitude to keep him from having to deal with anything he doesn't want to get involved with.
— Unpredictable: Due to his mutant powers, Logan lives in a world of almost constant overstimulation. His senses are dialled up well beyond human normal. He's been used and abused countless times over the years, resulting in extensive trauma and psychic scar tissue. His life experiences have also taught him not to trust people easily. Added together, this means that he finds it difficult to emotionally regulate himself. He's prone to attacks of anger and rage, even blackouts of violence when he's pushed into a dissociative state. In general, he respects no opinion more than his own and is likely to be unpredictable just to cause trouble and piss people off.

• Character Skills:

• SURVIVAL: At various points in his life, Logan has lived alone in the wilderness, depending on himself and his skills to survive. Although his healing factor helped him during these times and enabled him to function when a normal human would have perished, he's gained considerable experience in surviving in harsh conditions.
• AUTOMOTIVE: If you can name it, Logan can probably figure out how to drive it (this includes things like futuristic fighter jets and spaceships apparently). He can also maintain and repair most motorcycles, cars and other engines.
• FIREARMS: Thanks to his work with Weapon X and his military experience, Logan has a working knowledge of many firearms, as well as explosives.
• HUNTING & TRACKING: Logan has demonstrated the ability to hunt and feed himself in the wilderness, using his enhanced senses and tracking skills to take down many different types of game. With his mutant powers, he's capable of tracking a person through adverse weather conditions. Without them, he's more limited, but is able to draw on his decades of experience in order to find his prey.

• CLAWS: Logan has three 12-inch bone claws housed within his forearms. These claws are slightly curved and incredibly sharp, even before they were coated with unbreakable metal. He can unleash and sheathe these claws one by one or all together at will -- the only requirement is that his hand is in a straight line from his forearm, to allow the claws to emerge from between his knuckles.
• ADAMANTIUM SKELETON: Though not a power in a traditional sense, Logan's unique physiology definitely adds to his arsenal of abilities. While under their control, Weapon X coated Logan's entire skeleton (including his claws) in adamantium, an indestructible metal. It can't be cut or broken by any other metal except itself. This means Logan's bones can't be broken (although the tissue and cartilage between them can be). Adamantium is also magnetic, so he is susceptible to magnetic attacks. It also makes him weigh much more than a normal person of his size and means that he's vulnerable to drowning if he doesn't have the energy to swim. One other side effect is that adamantium is poisonous -- it has been theorised that Logan's healing abilities would be be even more powerful if it wasn't constantly working to neutralise this toxic substance in his body.

• Important Notes: Due to the setting's nerf of canon powers, Logan will be coming in without his healing factor. This means he will begin the process of dying of heavy metal poisoning (as seen in the later movies), as well as the impact of accumulated radiation within his adamantium skeleton. It will also mean using his claws will become an issue of potentially infection, especially if he retracts them after doing gross things like killing animals or people. I'm happy to play with this as much or as little as thread partners want to, but in general won't be looking to have him be immediately in major trouble -- it will be a long term thing if/when he finds a way to cope with it (in Logan (2017) he was taking medication to at least slow things down so it may be possible), though there will be various side effects to just make his time a little more terrible (and fun for me).
